Posted by nation on April 9, 2015

Audrey M, Clear Lake Div. 2015 day 2 ctsy     The bass are getting bigger at the 2015 BASS Nation Western Divisional!  Today there were three bass at the scales over 10 lbs. and the current Big Bass of the tournament now stands at an even 11 lbs!  There were even a few nice size smallmouth today!  And a few reports of catching double-digit bass only to have to let them go because CA regulations require that fish must be hooked inside the mouth at all times, not just when sight fishing.

Larry Triplett increased his Colorado State Team lead today with a Day 2 bag weighing 17-11; just two ounces more than his Day 1 bag and consistent enough to put him in 4th Place in the overall standings with a Day 2 total weight of 35-4 that is only 4-10 behind the tournament leader from ID, who has 39-14. reports that most anglers are focused on pre-spawn holding areas, but that the current tournament leader is “junk” fishing with a wide variety of lures and presentations.

Jeremiah Smith moved up to the 2nd spot on the Colorado State Team standings with a limit today of 12-12, which combined with his 4 fish from yesterday at 10-13 brings him up to a total of 23-9.
