Colorado BASS Nation Begins New Pro-Am Format

Posted by nation on June 9, 2015

Colorado_BASS_Nation_logo.JPG     This week begins the new BASS Nation National Championship qualifying format has been adopted by the Colorado BASS Nation to seat a State Team to represent the state at the 2016 BASS Nation Western Divisional and a chance to make it all the way to the Bassmasters Classic.

The new format created by BASS features more anglers who can now qualify for the coveted opportunity to compete with the best bass anglers in the world at the Bassmasters Classic.

The new format is a Pro-Am style event with a three day practice period followed by three days of tournament competition.  Each angler will sign-up as a Boater or a Non-boater and will be competing for these respective positions on the State Team.  The top ten boaters and top ten non-boaters after competition days will comprise the State Team with alternates to follow in the position that they qualify in.

It is a long road to the Classic for BASS Nation members, bringing to the top the best amateur anglers from across the globe and includes competitors from almost every state in the union and from countries like Italy, Japan, Mexico and South Africa.  Each BASS Nation member must compete at multiple levels to make it all the way to the top.
